With the opening of their new flagship store in Shanghai, China, Hot Toys announces a slew of exclusives to "celebrate this remarkable occasion" - that'll either send collectors in a state of toy-nirvana, or unbridled frenzy (for after market madness). No prices were revealed, along with the images on HT Facebook tho. This is one such item.

The Avengers: 1/6th scale Mark VII (Stealth Mode Version) from Hot Toys (Movie Promo Edition)

It has been announced that Hot Toys will be traveling to different locations in Asia to bring fans "Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Exhibition” (with 3.3m tall Hulkbusters on show too!), and with this showcase comes along a "MOVIE PROMO EDITION" collectible figure, available (for pre-orders) exclusively during upcoming exhibition periods in different countries: A 1/6th-scaled "Iron Man Mark VII in Stealth Mode"!

With the Incredible HULK announced just, Hot Toys presents the 1/6th-scale HULKBUSTER from the upcoming movie; Avengers: Age of Ultron! Not long after the news of their HOT ROD edition, comes the announcement of yet another Iron Man in 1/6-scale collectible, with "STRIKER" based on one of the suits "seen" in Marvel's "Iron Man 3" feature film! NO, my fellow toy-collector friends, it is NOT gig to end anytime soon … :p

But I have to say tho, the distressed weathered look / paint job looks awesome and visually on-par with the as-well-heavily-weathered-looking products from 3A Toys! HAHA

Iron Man HOT ROD in 1/6 by Hot Toys for #ToySoul2014

Making a debut at Toy Soul 2014 (Dec 19-21, 2014) are two exclusive 1/6th-scaled figures from Hot Toys - Iron Man 3: Hot Rod (Mark XXII) and Star Wars: Shadow Trooper. There, I soiled my shorts a bit there…

HOT ROD: "Tony Stark designed the Mark XXII armor as a War Machine 2.0 Prototype Suit in Iron Man 3. This lightly-armed suit is built with versatility in mind being able to dodge obstacles and move around mid-air more swiftly. Tony Stark was just about to jump into the suit in the movie before it got attack by an Extremis soldier. It earns the name of “Hot Rod” as its arms and legs’ design resembles the classic American hot rod with flames.

Today Hot Toys is happy to continue expanding the “House Party Protocol” and officially introduce the 1/6th scale Hot Rod (Mark XXII) Collectible Figure as a Hot Toys Exclusive item. It is the latest addition to our MMS Diecast Series which the collectible figures are made of diecast material, and realistically designed to look more like Hot Rod as it appears in the movie.

TOYSREVIL @ Action City’s Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Collectible Figurines Exhibit (Bugis Junction, Singapore)

Looks like Bugis Junction is THE place to be now in Singapore, if you are a Iron Man-fan, and especially if you like the Iron Man TOYS! Now too long ago we had Play Imaginative debuting their 1/4th-scaled and 1/12th scaled "Super Alloy" line-up at the "Become Iron Man" promo exhibit, while recently launched just a stones' throw away within the covered walkways of the inddor/outdoor concept mall, local retailer Action City has set-up a display showcasing Iron Man collectibles from Hong Kong's Hot Toys!

The Hall of Armor diorama (above) greeting folks at the head of the display arena, gave folks a glimpse of "What If I Owned ALL Of Them?". A display long time coming too! I snapped this during the day time, but I reckon when they switch on the Hall of Armor lights at night, it would be impressive, IMHO. C'mon! Who doesn't want to own this entire Line-up and display? LOL

Earlier released and announced 1/6th-scaled action figures and 1/4-scaled busts were on full display, along with the spectacular showcasing of newly announced awesomeness, with pre-orders available for Red Snapper and War Machine Mark II, and the debut of Hot Toys' Whiplash (Mark 2) armor had me gagging!

If you remember the near-ending battle scene in "Iron Man 2", when Iron Man and War Machine fought back-to-back against Whiplash's drones, and Whiplash appeared extremely briefly in this armor - based on the Mark 1 armor he acquired earlier in the film? Do pardon my abject lack of vocabulary, but "AWESOME" is a word best decried for this piece, methinks.

Another highlight of the exhibits, was not doubt the ARMORS ASSEMBLE display, whereby parts of the Iron Man armor were laid spread out for all to see, featuring over 300 parts! Impressive showcase indeed! Imagine if this was given out as a poster print tho … oh well, all I have are photographs (and perhaps a video recording) of this now:




At the far end of the space was a life-size Power Pose Mark XLII, with folks having a chance to snap a picture with. Do forgive me for the shot of the back, as most times I could't get a shot in otherwise LOL



“Action City’s Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Collectible Figurines Exhibit” is currently now at Level 1 Hylam Street Bugis Junction in Singapore, and exhibits until May 5th. Folks can also pre-order two special edition Collectible Figurines (Red Snapper & War Machine 2) on site.
