Whiplash 1/6 by Hot Toys (Seen @ Action City's Hot Toys Show in Bugis Junction)

Not enough of WHIPLASH from Hot Toys? (Seen at the Action City’s Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Exhibit in Bugis Junction) … No worries, folks, I've got you covered (C'mon, you KNOW I would, right?) … I'll take a wild stab that this 1/6th-scaled articulated collectible figure is a "prototype", yeh? And boy, does it look AWESOME!







If you remember the near-ending battle scene in "Iron Man 2", when Iron Man and War Machine fought back-to-back against Whiplash's drones, and Whiplash appeared extremely briefly in this armor (3:30-mark at the video above) based on the Mark 1 armor he acquired earlier in the film?

One of the few reasons why I loathed this scene back then, was that it was too darn dark to see the happenings! (Not counting the resolution in the above video, mind you).

TEASER: WHIPLASH ACTION FIGURE IN 1/6TH-SCALE BY HOT TOYS

After the earlier announcement of War Machine [tagged], Iron Man 2's villain WHIPLASH get the 1/6th-scale-treatment courtesy of Hot Toys with the lone-image above released today via their e-newsletter, along with the following press:

Holding sophisticated metal-like whips, wearing burnt and torn jumpsuit, carrying real-like electricity generator on his back, he is fiercely heading to battle against the armored superhero Iron Man!

Coming with full gear of highly detailed weapons and accessories, this collectible figurine shall be amazing enough to enter your collection, not to mention the newly developed head sculpt with realized likeness of the leading actor, Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke! Another highlight of the collectible is the forceful muscular upper body which is widely covered in patterned tattoos! Mickey Rourke is Ivan Vanko / Whiplash: This version of the character also includes elements of Crimson Dynamo from the comics. In the film, he will be the son of Russian scientist Anton Vanko, who, in the comics, is the original Crimson Dynamo and creator of said armor ... Rourke researched for the part by visiting Butyrka prison. He suggested half of the character's dialogue be in Russian. [info via wiki]
