IRON MAN 2 KUBRICKS FROM MEDICOM TOY

IRON-MAN-2-KUBRICKS-BLACK

Scheduled for a November 2010 release is the IRON MAN 2 KUBRICKS from Medicom Toy (considering the movie premieres June in Japan) ~ featuring Iron Man Marks IV, V and VI, War Machine, Whiplash and (underwhelming) Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff / "Black Widow". Priced at ¥980 per (approx US$11), I wonder what the chase figure would be (if there ever is one) ... a Nick Fury, perhaps? As you ponder the speculation ~ CLICK for a closer look at the figures on my TOYSREVIL-blog.

WHIPLASH SLASH & BURN: IRON MAN 2 USES UNITY 3D GAME TECHNOLOGY

Iron Man 2 uses Unity 3D Game Technology ~ featuring the new "havoc-wrecking" Race of Champions Whiplash game (www) based on the new exciting 3D browser Unity platform. Yes, you witness the POV of Whiplash while you crash race-cars ~ *CRACK*

[Unity really is a state-of-the-art game engine (the sophistication that can now be achieved has moved casual gaming to another level) which allows you to play 3D games in your web browser.]

Iron Man 2 uses Unity 3D Game Technology

DETAILS: "Whiplash: Slash and Burn is a fast-paced browser game to promote the theatrical release of Marvel's Iron Man 2 this May. In the game the player takes control of Iron Man's new nemesis Whiplash as he storms the race track where Stark is racing.

Using Whiplash's cable-whip arms, the player will attempt to destroy the racing cars as they speed towards the screen. After hitting enough cars, a special power surge is rewarded, which can be used to knock out multiple vehicles.

The main aim is to annihilate Tony Stark's car as he passes. As the timer ticks down the cars increase in speed making it harder to earn points for destruction. On completing the game the player can add their high score to a leaderboard.

This explosive game shows that Unity is bringing the 3D browser game to a new level of sophistication."

I AM IRON MAN 2: AUGMENTED REALITY APP

"Red & gold or titanium silver? It's a tough choice but why not try both
the Iron Man & War Machine helmets on and see which suits you best?"

PRESS: (Today) Marvel & Paramount release this augmented reality app @ http://www.iamironman2.com that not only lets you see what you'd look like in the latest iteration of the Iron Man/ War Machine hardware but it also brings to life the internal HUD (Heads Up Display) through gesture recognition.

You will need a webcam to fully activate the "I Am Iron Man 2"-app ~ the video posted above explains how it works and what it looks like. What you can do then is to video capture yourself inside one of Tony's toys and post/share it with your buddies through Facebook, Twitter or embed it on your own site. Choose between being viewed with a mask on, or a POV within the mask.

I-AM-IRON-MAN2-01

Perpetrated by the fine folks at UK-based Rubber Republic and PPC Interactive, this Iron Man 2 movie viral campaign leading up to the May 7th launch of "Stark Expo 2010" [www.starkexpo2010.com] in tandem with the movie premiere, where no doubt Tony Stark's sharing his resources and knowledge with the world may well lead him to ruin, or have his tech perverted and subverted to insidiousness, no?

The Repulsor-ray tech in the CordCo video, and the obvious "targeting-array interface" seen in the Stark-HUD just compounds that, innit? The Fujikawa video is an inspired touch, at the very least to embrace the Asiatic demographic, and at the very least even me as a Chinese man CAN be connected (in some way) beyond my fanboy enthusiasm for IRON MAN, yeh? *Kudos*

But of course I'm thinking too much into this, might as well enjoy the ride til the inevitable screening in the darkened theatre come May, innit? Can't wait to see what happens next!

I-AM-IRON-MAN2-02

This ties in pretty well with the previously released Stark-Fujikawa / STARK-HUD viral video, methinks ~ when at the very end of the video which prompts the viewers to BE "Tony Stark" LOL

I admit I do enjoy this current "Augmented Reality" app / viral, compared to previous ones we've experienced, moreso because it is more light-hearted and accessible, than say an intense immersion required to be "part of the game", IMHO.

ACCUTECH ONLINE (IRON MAN 2 VIRAL CAMPAIGN VIDEO NOW LIVE!)

"AccuTech" are one of Stark Industries subsidiary companies (drawing heavily on the comics) whose future technology will be showcased at the Stark Expo in May. Courtesy of the folks at Rubber Republic we have a video posted above, featuring the new "HazTech" exoskeleton! ...And is it just me, or does the ACCUTECH-logo look like the AVENGERS's logo? hhhmmmm?

ACCUTECH-SCREENGRAB-01

ABOUT STARK EXPO:
The storyline of Iron Man 2 involves Tony Stark's attempt to bring back Stark Expo, a world fair-like industrial and scientific exhibition which his father, Howard Stark, first launched in the 1960's. The mystery of the 1974 Stark Expo is a centerpiece of the new film. Stark's companies such as Cordco, Accutech and Fujikawa will be exhibiting "better living through technology" submissions (perhaps a far cry from the military extravaganza that was the first film and symbolising his new stance).
